Prime me Perfect

Primer is the base of every good make up routine, it can help your make up last longer, reduce the look of pores and your foundation go on more evenly.

No7 Airbrush Away Pore Minimising Primer – £16.50

The texture of this primer is quite different to most of the primers that I have tried, it doesn’t feel as dry, more cream like but without any greasy feel to it. Because of this it doesn’t clump up into tiny balls of product on your face, it smooths in very nicely and feels very thin. My pores are still very visible after applying this primer, before and after foundation. Although my make up definitely stays in place longer when I use this primer.

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer Pore Minimizing– £28

After receiving a sample of the Photo Finish Foundation Primer I fell in love with it and went onto Smashbox’s website to purchase the full size, however I saw the ‘pore minimizing’ version and decided to purchase this instead as I felt as though this would be a better match for me. I wasn’t a huge fan of this when I first bought it and I’m still quite unsure now. I don’t feel as though it hides my pores much and it rolls up into bobbles of product on my skin regardless of the amount I use, the time I wait after applying moisturiser etc.

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer – £25.50

Smashbox primer is very thick and good quality. Once smoothed over your skin you can see a difference in your skin being evened it out, concealing large pores. Make up glides on the skin better and lasts much longer without slipping. For comparison I tried the same foundation with and without this primer on and it definitely lasted longer and felt more secure without slipping when I used the primer. I’ll be buying this product again.
