October Favourites

This month has absolutely flown by! I don’t mind, because November’s my birthday month (yayy, anyone else a Scorpio?).

Urban Decay Highlighter. If you follow me on Snapchat or Instagram, you’ll have probably expected this one here. I’ve been obsessing over it since I received it – and it was worth the wait! I’m literally in love. You can build it up to create a really strong highlight or just apply a little for a hint of shimmer. I have been using Real Techniques setting brush or multi task brush to apply it.

Strip Lashes. My lost love for strip lashes has been rekindled… After purchasing these Cheryl ‘Girls Night’ by Eylure lashes, I can’t stop myself browsing through them in every shop I’m in. There’s a few more natural looking ones I’m currently eying up.

Maxfactor Xpert Liquid Eyeliner. I haven’t been using liquid eyeliner much lately after purchasing Rimmel Scandaleyes gel liner a few months ago however this isn’t quite as jet black as the liquid liners are. After picking this up in boots I’ve been wearing it almost every day. It’s the blackest black (if that’s a thing?) with a skinny applicator that makes it really easy to apply.

Estée Lauder Double Wear. This was always my go to foundation but I went on a foundation shopping spree and decided to buy a few different ones to try a little while ago, I’m now back to Double Wear permanently. My skin has been very up and down at the minute and the coverage is amazing plus it’s perfect for oily skin and holds in place for hours! My shade is Ecru and it suits my skin tone perfectly – no gross line between my face and neck!

Burgundy Clothing. Both of these dresses were bought from French Connection in York, I really like burgundy clothing and think it suits blonde hair. The embroidered detail on this dress is so pretty, I’ve seen a lot of embroidered detail on clothing this season and have been desperately wanting to get some!

Sleek Liquid Lipstick. Sleek isn’t a brand I really knew of or one that I had heard much about but I was shopping in Boots last week searching for the perfect shade of deep red and this was exactly what I had in mind. It has a lovely matte finish and strong holding power. The swatch one my hand took some scrubbing to remove.

Smashbox Blush. Previously I have only used their primer and bought this on a whim, the colour is very pretty and it has a slight shimmer to it which I really like. I ran out of blusher a while ago and it’s so nice to have it back in my make up routine.

No7 Lipstick. The first No7 lipstick I bought was a few years ago and it was in a really bright shade ‘Gay Geranium’ although I’m no longer a huge fan of the colour the holding power was impressive. After sampling several swatches on my arm I found this one however it was from their ‘moisture drench’ collection, I’m usually quite doubtful of any moisturising lipsticks because I’ve found that sometimes means that they don’t really last however this is another long lasting lipstick from no7. The colour is so rich and matches exactly how it looks from the stick. It’s a lovely warm and autumnal colour. Fairly natural but you can still really see that it’s there.

What’s your favourite Autumn/Winter colour?
