March Favourites

A handful of some the things I’ve been loving throughout March…

Urban Outfitters journal, £15

Originally I went looking for the pale pink version of this journal as I had seen that this style had sold out however when I had a look around the shop I found this and the black marble effect design. I love the design and how organised it is with separate little boxes for each thing. If you’ve read my previous post you’ll know how I love to keep organised and have lots of little notes and to do lists for everything! This journal is perfect for jotting down my notes and it’s the perfect size to take with me everywhere but still have enough room to write my detailed notes.

White Lace Detail Top from Miss Selfridge, £30

For clothing I mostly like to keep the colours that I wear fairly simple, plain and neutral. although I often feel very nervous wearing any white outfit I love how clean white clothing looks, especially for spring/summer. This top is so light and floaty which makes it very comfortable. I love the lace detail on the front which makes the top a bit more interesting and dressy than a regular plain white top. It’s so easy to match up with outfits too, so far I’ve worn it with jeans but I’m looking forward to pairing it with more summery clothing because I know that it will be perfect for the summer months.

I feel a bit silly for adding these but they’re a recent revelation for me and honestly I have found them amazing, because my hair is quite long and thick normal elastic bobbles pull and start to fall out plus they hurt my head a little from pulling. Whereas these bobbles pull your ponytail up giving it more volume and lift and they stay in place feeling much more comfortable and stable without dragging which is perfect, however they aren’t brilliant for a messy bun, just to hold your hair in place while getting ready, showering etc just because I found that it didn’t hold my hair up securely very well.

Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Eau de Parfum, from £47

A very recent purchase that I just had to buy after smelling it, I didn’t even set out to buy a perfume that day. I was looking at their lipsticks and decided to spray a little and i’m so glad I did, this is definitely one of my new favourites. It’s so sweet and rich, I love it!

Estée Lauder Modern Muse Le Rouge, from £45

I was bought the Estée Lauder Le Rouge at Christmas and it’s still a very strong favourite, again it’s quite a sweet smelling perfume but that’s what I like in a perfume. The packaging of this perfume is also really cute it’s simple but makes it look very pretty.

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volute Lipstick in Coral Intuitive, £26

I had wanted to purchase this lipstick for a while so finally decided to on a recent shopping trip to York and I am not disappointed. My lips often get quite dry due to wearing lipstick constantly however this is so moisturising that it hides it even if my lips are a little dry. The colours are lovely and subtle, I’ll definitely be purchasing more of these. I think ‘Nude Lavalliere’ is next on my list.

Boux Avenue Bettie Floral Underwear Set, £34 | Ivory Clemmie Chiffon Wrap, £28

Boux Ave is one of the very few places I shop for my underwear/nightwear, this is because not many places sell my size however they always have such beautiful items in stock so it doesn’t bother me at all! Every time I take a look around their store I end up walking out with a new purchase.

Rimmel London 60 Seconds Super Shine by Rita Ora, Peachella, £2.99

Often when I buy a new nail polish I seem to stick with it for a while, partly because I’m in love with the colour which is the reason I bought it and partly because new nail polishes are so easy to apply. This is my most recent nail purchase and it’s so perfect for spring and summer, I also love how peachy/coral nails compliment a tan.

Wunderbrow, £19.95

Prior to buying Wunderbrow I used an eyebrow pencil and I really wouldn’t want to go back to using them, they smudged and looked dark and very unnatural. Wonderbrow is so much easier to control and apply, it looks much more natural. I’m not sure how but not matter how much you rub your eyebrows this product doesn’t come off which is great for when you don’t want it coming off on clothing and fabrics.

Neutrogena Blackhead Eliminating Cleansing Lotion, usually £3.50

A while ago I decided to buy this cleansing lotion, for no particular reason and it has become part of my daily routine. My face feels so clean, fresh and pure after using it so I really do feel as though it works. I have also noticed a difference when I continuously (I mean at least once a day) use this product my skin definitely looks brighter and clearer. I’m yet to try the other products from this range as this one has worked so well for me. Let me know if you’ve ever used any other products from this range and your thoughts on them in the column below.

Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in Lovely Pink, £8.99

Another recent purchase which I have adored. I bought this colour in replace of the ‘Seductive Pink’ I have previously been using from the same range and have preferred this colour much more. It’s more subtle with a slight shimmer which I like for brighter days.

Lindt bunnies

Of course Easter has only just ended and I have stocked up on Lindt bunnies, thanks to my Lactase tablets I can eat chocolate again!
