Low double bun hairstyle

As much as I love styling my hair, some days I can’t be bothered to do much but I still like it to look neat, out of my face and a little more interesting than a ponytail. Pinterest is the perfect place to gather hair inspiration for colours, cuts, styles and pretty much anything else hair related.

When looking for a hairstyle comfort is a high priority, after a few hours with a too tight or too high bun I start to get a headache and end up taking the style out before long. This is something I really hate doing but I’d also rather not have a headache so it happens! I saw this and immediately loved how simple but pretty it looked, also two buns sounded so comfortable, managing to evenly distribute the weight of my hair across the bottom of my head – definitely wearable for a full day, and possibly evening.

Quick easy double bun hairstyle for long hair

I was in a rush one Sunday before lunch with my family and decided to try this hairstyle, it took less than 10 minutes and I loved the result. My family seemed to also as I received a few compliments, which is always nice when trying or wearing something new! It stayed in place all day very comfortably and I’ll definitely try this again, maybe with variations of braids leading the the buns.

All you need for this style is:

  • A comb
  • Hair bobbles
  • Bobby pins

Step 1. Part your hair down the middle so that you have two even sections – hold one half in place with a bobble or hair sectioning clip

Step 2. Start at the front of your head by twisting the hair, collecting the rest of your hair as you work backwards to the nape of your neck, like you would with a braid

Step 3. Twirl your hair into a bun at the base of your neck, secure with a bobble and grip in place with bobby pins

Step 4.Repeat steps 1 to 3 on the opposite side

Then apply hairspray if you’d like! This hairstyle would also suit braids in place of twists, which I might try soon!

What do you think to this quick and easy hairstyle?
