Autumn Essentials

Usually opting for fruity herbal teas I thought I’d take a chance on this Hot chocolate as it is Gluten and Dairy free, hot chocolate just seems a must at this time of year (especially with cute little marshmallows). When I could still have dairy products my mum used to make the nicest hot chocolate with actual melted chocolate, whipped cream, a flake and mini marshmallows – at least I can still eat marshmallows!! Of course I had to buy a cinnamon spiced herbal tea, because I can’t drink hot chocolate all day every day…

It’s a difficult job to find Gluten Free museli, sometimes I make it myself but I can’t get those tasty clusters. Embracing everything Autumn themed I thought my breakfast should match too. Cinnamon is one of my favourite spices and makes foods & drinks seem so much more festive, with such a warming scent.

A make up trend I love as the season changes is berry coloured lips or a classic red. These are my favourite lipsticks at this time of year. There are a few I’d also love to try such as the Tom Ford ‘Scarlet Rose’ and Charlotte Tilbury ‘So Marilyn’. With red/berry lips I like to keep the rest of my make up quite simple usually opting for small cat flick eyeliner and keeping red lip the main focus, however smokey eyes also go together really well. For a subtle hint of smokey eye my Urban Decay Naked Palette 3 is perfect with lots of pink/peach tones too. Smokey eye is perfect for Autumn and an excuse to wear it a little darker. Another great match for red lips is matching nails, for this I usually look towards Nails Inc, I love the shimmer OPI have in their shade ‘Let Your Love Shine’ too. Which has a lovely festive feel to it (is it too early to mention Christmas?).

My favourite clothing to snuggle up in is either my pretty rosey onsie or this fluffy soft dressing gown with these absolutely gorgeous polar bear slipper socks, comfort is definitely my priority as the months grow colder – actually I’m not sure when comfort isn’t my priority. There’s no way I’m freezing myself while out, no matter how good any outfit looks! At the end of the day snuggling up in this cosy blanket with lovely Autumn scented candles flickering away is much needed with the nights getting darker.
